TIME MANAGMENT FOR MIDTERM

This midterm project was very time consuming. I had to schedule to just to get some of my interviews. Most people didn’t want to or didn’t have any time to get interviewed at the moment. I emailed some of my professors instead of recording them. But overall everything is coming out ok. For this project I think I spent at least 3 hours brainstorming about the questions I was going to ask and comfortable with. All of the extra things that I put in my video took me at least 2 hours to find the right pictures, music and quotes. The video software was fairly easy to use the only thing that I really had trouble with was converting the video so that it can be used in windows movie maker. That took more than an hour to find a good converter to use. I used Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate 6 to convert my videos. Editing was a little difficult but I was able to handle it. I would say that it took about 5 hours all together to edit the video.

I think i did pretty good with the time management for this project. one thing that could have gone better are the interviews.

Mid-terms ALREADY!!!

When we were given the mid-term assignment I didn’t know what to think. I was more confused than I was ready. The part that I am currently having problems with is finding people to interview. I have had a couple of people say no, but I’m still looking for people to interview. So far my video is on pause because of my IMac malfunction. So If I don’t get my Mac fixed by the weekend I’m am going to restart my video and find new people to interview. Other than that everything else is going well. I hope that my video would come out better than I imagine. My video is starting to come out a little better than expected.
Update on my Midterm Video:
10/19/11
So this is an update about my midterm video and the new problems I’m kind of struggling with. I didn’t get my Mac fixed so I started over and used my PC. Windows movie maker isn’t like iMovie but it is less complex. I uploaded my videos after playing around with a movie converter that I had to download to put movies into Windows movie Maker. I am still having problems finding more people to interview. Another issue I am having is that my interviews aren’t lasting very long, I am trying to figure out how to prolong them but nothing is really working out. I have two interviews down and all I have to do is four more. Other than that everything else is going great and I am working very hard on the video but also having fun with it.

TIME MANAGMENT

The past week I have been counting up all of the hours I spent doing homework, and the amount of time I spend working outside of school. The number of hours I spent doing homework could be a bit higher than what it was, I spent approximately 23 hours. I also work part time and I normally work a 25hour week. I have over 20 hours of free time but it sure doesn’t feel like I have all of this free time on my hands.

TECHNOLOGY POLL

The other night I was hanging with a group of friends. We were talking about college and all of the classes we are taking. We also talked about the club fair that was the other day and all of the possible clubs that we could join. While we were talking I was thinking about the next blog that I can do. I thought about a question and the first question that came to my mind was what do you think about technology.

  • ·  Kelven- thought that it was a distraction at times but he also said that it has helped him when he wasn’t near a computer
  • My other friends Sara and Ashley said that when they don’t have their phones they feel lost
  • John said that when he is home and he is trying to do homework that he procrastinates by playing the game or texting
  •  Scott said that any type o technology doesn’t really bother him when he is trying to do other things

Don't Stress yourself out!

To relieve stress I normally just go out and play either football or basketball with my friends. It’s a great stress reliever for me because I can just have fun playing with friends and unwinding from a long week. You can do any of your favorite things to relieve stress, you can sing, dance, run, and even work out, or whatever it is that you enjoy doing.

Ways to Stay a Healthy College Student

Most college students actually prefer unhealthy, high-calorie food items. Also, it’s no secret that college students drink a lot of alcohol, and these empty calories contribute to making them plump. To stay healthy, students should avoid residence hall vending machines, student union fast food joints, and late night study snacks. Here are some ways you can stay healthy while in college:
·         Go On A Diet(beware freshman “15”)
·         Stay Clean(hygiene)
·          Get To Sleep
·          Hit The Gym
·         Go Meet Some People(be active)
·         Clean Your Room (keep germs away)
·         Be Mindful Of Toxins(unhealthy food)
·          Beat Stress(exercise and rest well)
·          Know When To Stop(maintain mental health)
